Requesting an item not on the shelf

An item checked out to another borrower or is located in storage or in FLARE may be requested by clicking the Request button in the UF Library Catalog record. In Process or In Transit items not yet on the open shelves may be requested by clicking on the Request link in the catalog. For other ways to gain access to books, check out the Find Books page.

Multiple requests for the same item are handled in the order received. Borrowers will be notified via email when a needed item is available.

Items from Storage and FLARE are typically available within two business days.
