OCLC Scholar Card Application Form (For UF Faculty)

The OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program gives faculty members borrowing privileges and on-site access to the collections of other participating academic research libraries institutions in the United States and Canada.

Program Policy

UF Faculty members whose library account is in good standing. (No fines and fees, no more than 350 items checked out in your library account) are eligible to apply for a scholar card. The card is valid for one year.

Each library you visit will have different policies for visiting scholars, it is important to check with that library’s public service department to see what you will be allowed to borrow. View a list of participants. Please note, this list is not constantly updated by OCLC, the institutions on the list may change their participant status from time to time. It is important to reach out to the library directly before you visit to ensure that the scholar card will be honored, and you will be well received.

There is no cost for the scholar card; however, faculty are responsible for paying all overdue fines and charges for damaged materials according to the lending library’s policies. If the card is lost or stolen, it is faculty’s responsibility to notify the institutions in order to deactivate the card.
