Search by Title
1. Navigate to https://www.hathitrust.org/
2. Click on the log in button.
3. Select the University of Florida as the partner institution and click Continue.
4. Log in with your Gatorlink credentials.
5. Click on the Advanced catalog search option.
6. Choose Title from the first drop-down menu and type the title in the text box (see example below). Click on the Advanced Search button with the magnifying glass below the last drop-down menu.
7. On the results page under Filter Your Search, All Items is the default option and displays the total number of items related to this title in the HathiTrust Database (including Limited (search only) items where access is restricted). Select Full View to display results with full text access.
8. All items, both full view and Limited (Search only) items can be requested by patrons who are registered with the University of Florida Disability Resource Center (DRC). Patrons that are registered with the DRC may make requests for materials by submitting the HathiTrust ADA Compliant Files request form. Once library staff have verified the patron is registered with the Disability Resource Center, staff will contact HathiTrust, obtain the material as an ADA-compliant file, and email the file to the patron.
Search by Subject
1. Follow steps 1-5 for Search by Title, then continue to step 2 below.
2. Choose Subject from the first drop-down menu and type the title in the text box (see example below). Click on the Advanced Search button with the magnifying glass below the last drop-down menu.
3. On the results page under Filter Your Search, All Items is the default option and displays the total number of items related to this title in the HathiTrust Database (including Limited (search only) items where access is restricted). Select Full View to display results with full text access.
