Information Concerning Copyright Restrictions

Interlibrary Loan services comply with United States copyright law (Title 17, United States Code) and the policies of lending institutions. Materials are made available under limited exceptions to the rights of copyright holders as specified in 17 U.S. Code § 107, 17 U.S. Code § 108, and/or 17 U.S. Code § 109. Any further copying or any other type of reproduction or distribution in excess of Section 107, which specifies the scope of “fair use,” may infringe on the exclusive protections assigned to the creator or copyright holder.

The Libraries reserve the right to refuse to fulfill an Interlibrary Loan request if, in staff’s judgment, that request would involve violation of copyright law.
