Borrowing, renewing and returning items

Learn about your responsibilities as a borrower at the UF Libraries.

Recall Policy

Can’t renew a book? It might have been recalled. “Recall” is when someone requests to be next in line for the book.

What if I need the book for longer?

  • You can visit or call any UF library circulation desk to renew your books. You can also ask the PK Yonge Librarian to renew your books for you at the Mead Library.

Can I access the library’s online databases?

No, remote access to UF’s online databases are limited to current UF students, faculty and staff. If you need help with research, please visit the circulation or reference desk at any library branch during hours the libraries are open to the public.
